About UsSOAR Energy is a member-owned solar and renewable energy buyers' cooperative, formed in late 2001 to develop and serve the market for green power with the cooperation of environmental, consumer and low-income community organizations. As a nonprofit cooperative, SOAR Energy is designed to meet the needs of its members. All members have a vote and can get involved in the organization. Currently, SOAR Energy offers natural gas aggregation service, energy efficiency products, and green tags--a form of "virtual" renewable energy. Our long term goal is to be a one-stop shop for all our member's energy needs. From the beginning, SOAR Energy has recognized that developing a market for renewable energy in Ohio is an uphill battle. This nonprofit cooperative is designed to provide those who care about the environment with a vehicle to make the choice to reduce pollution from utilities, the dirtiest industry.
